Thielen Canned Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 white onion

  • 1 tsp garlic salt

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce

  • 12 oz. can tomato paste

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 tbsp worchester sauce

  • 1 tsp minced parsley

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp italian spices

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp thyme

  • 1/2 tsp basil

Directions

  • Add everything to large pot.

  • Summer uncovered for 3 hours.

  • If you are canning, pour hot sauce into hot quart canning jars and seal with canning lids and rings.

  • Simmer filled jars in hot water bath canned for 35 minutes.

  • Remove jars from canner and do not touch for 24 hours.

  • Label and store in dark place.
